Eye-wear Consultants

Glasses Consultant Minneapolis MNYounes is the founder and owner of Uptown Eye Swear, serving the eye care industry and market for over 10 years.  He came to the United States in his late 20’s – immigrating from Morocco.  He built his professional industry experience, expertise, know-how and network in eye care working on the East Coast for big box retailers, distributors and well known designers as Perrin and Lagerfeld (founder of Chanel).  Younes felt an immediate personal and professional alignment and connection to the eye care profession, the doctors, suppliers, distributors, and customers the first time he entered into the industry and knew he landed on his life-long dream job and career.

Pursuing his Passion

Younes is passionate about people and life.  As a young businessman and owner, his knowledge, wisdom, people and life experience, maturity and outlook in life far exceeds his young age. He wants to see people happy, businesses and communities working together and thriving.  He has a love for children, family and cares deeply about the community, elderly and seniors.  As a young dad, Younes is sensitive to the need for good eye care for children. He is very sensitive and aware of the financial challenges parents have in affording eye exams and glasses for their families and children, especially in single parent or low-income households.

Giving Back Locally

Younes also recognized the mobility challenges of the senior community and their need for good eye health to ensure a daily, active quality of life and living.  With his compassion, heart and care for people and children, Younes and Uptown Eyeswear take their time, energy and resources out to the community to provide quality eye care services to families, children and seniors. Younes and Uptown Eye Swear has become a familiar face in the Lynn Lake Community, Washburn for Children Organization, and Up in Arms Association, offering free eye exams and donated or significantly discounted eye wear.   Many seniors and senior centers recognize Younes when he comes into their facilities to visit, offering complimentary eye glass adjustments and cleaning services.  He likes to visit the senior centers and spend time with the elder population even if they don’t have any eye service needs! When they do, he is there to help them arrange for their eye exams or provide a way for them to receive donated or discounted eye wear and services.

Local Twin Cities Community Networking

Younes is active in the business community and is a member of many Twin Cities organization.  He regularly attends a number of business conferences and industry trade shows to stay up on the cutting edge of his industry.  In February, Younes and Uptown Eye Swear hosted a small business community network event gathering local businesses in the area to meet and greet one another for the opportunity to connect and do business with one another.  Younes is currently planning for more networking events and adding a community charity giving component to help raise money for mission minded nonprofits serving low income family, children and the senior population.

Between family and business, Younes enjoys the opportunity to serve as a volunteer soccer coach to school age children, play professional pool, gather with friends, rest, pray, write, and refresh his mind and thinking with great books.  Younes is inspired by people, life and humankind.  He hopes to write a book one day on humankind to help inspire others to learn to love and care for one another, make a positive difference and impact in their lives and others, making the most out of a purposeful life and living.
